At Certitek, we approach every problem with a solution grounded in quantified research and development. Our end customers' safety is at the heart of our business. We recognise that meeting the standards alone is just not enough.
With leading modern testing and laboratory partners, we have tested fire resistance and behaviour against several products offering many materials, gap widths, seal depths and configurations. These include materials, such as MDF; softwoods; hardwoods, with and without architraves, with and without fire-stopping mineral wool and more.
Extensive Testing exceeding Standards.
In 2020, it was reported by FDIS that 30% of fire doors inspected were condemned due to poor installation. The report stated that this was due to the void between the door frame, and supporting construction is hugely at risk and can render a fire door condemned (FDIS, 2020).
We offer an extensively tested product range that provides resistance to fire between the door frame and its supporting construction. Our research-based solution can resist fire by swelling at temperatures over 125 DegC; meeting and exceeding internationally recognised standards.
